ABM + POS Sync Cheat Sheet

What Is The ABM + POS Sync?

Your Arryved POS Sales and Inventory data can now be synced with Arryved Brewery Management (ABM) for seamless tracking, reporting, and inventory management! You’ll use both your ABM and Arryved Portal to manage Inventory Items, Inventory settings, Flights, and Modifiers. Use this guide as a cheat sheet for the ABM + POS Sync.

Prerequisites

  • You’re an Arryved Brewery Management (ABM) user and your Arryved POS is synced with your ABM.
  • To add or edit Inventory Settings in your ABM (Tax Types, Item Types, and Item Sizes), you must be an ABM User with the Admin User Role.
  • To view or edit Inventory Items, Flights, and Modifiers in your Arryved Portal, you must be a Portal Super Admin or an Admin with one of the following Portal Permissions:
    • INVENTORY
    • TIMED MENU CONFIGURATION
    • ALL ACCESS
    • FULL ADMIN

Limitations

  • Most components are added and managed through your ABM, but Flights and Modifiers are managed in your Arryved Portal.

How It Works

Most components will be managed in your ABM, but you’ll use your Arryved Portal, too, for some things:

  • Items, Item Types, Item Sizes, and Tax Types are created and managed from your ABM and will then sync with your Arryved Portal.
  • You’ll use your Arryved Portal only to configure Modifiers and Forced Modifiers.
  • Flights will first be entered into your ABM as whole Items, then synced to your Arryved Portal where you’ll finish the Flight configurations.

Use the individual guides linked below to learn how to manage these components in your ABM and Arryved Portal. The sections below are in order from where you should start and finish.

Tax Types

Creating Tax Types allows you to apply different tax rates to your various Item Types. Tax Types are created and edited in your ABM and will sync with your Arryved Portal.

Item Types

Item Types help organize and categorize the menu items in your Arryved POS. You create the Item Types you need to fit your business model. You’ll create and manage your Item Types from your ABM. However, there are a few things you can handle from your Arryved Portal.

Item Sizes

Your Menu Items may come in different Sizes. In your ABM, you add all your possible Item Sizes, create your Items, and add the appropriate Sizes to them. This step shows you how to enter all your possible Item Sizes.

Items

Items are Finished Goods, Materials, and Other Items that you keep Wholesale Inventory of or sell at retail. Items can also be referred to as ‘Product Families’ because all the applicable Item Sizes are managed together under one Item.

New Items are added to your ABM but can be managed in either your ABM or Arryved Portal when synced.

P.S. You have the option to omit Items from the POS Sync if you only need them to be managed in your ABM (think wholesale-only Items).

When you create a new Item in ABM, you can add the appropriate Sizes to it. Each Size can be configured specifically to meet the needs of that Item.

We recommend using both of the guides in this section together (Create the Item, then add Sizes to it).

Modifiers & Forced Modifiers

New Items are created in your ABM, but Modifiers and Forced Modifiers are created and applied to Inventory Items through your Arryved Portal.

Flights

A Flight is an Item itself, so it will be first created in your ABM. Then, you’ll configure the Flight options from your Arryved Portal.
