Suppliers
What Are Suppliers?
In Arryved Brewery Management (ABM), Suppliers are the other Companies that your business makes purchases from. You may be purchasing materials and supplies for production, or guest beverages to distribute or sell in your taproom. Suppliers are added to the Companies section of your ABM. Use this guide to learn how.
Prerequisites
- To add or edit Suppliers, you must be an ABM User with the Admin User Role.
How It Works
Adding A Supplier
- From the left side navigation, click Companies.
- Click New Company.
Business Info
- You’ll start under the ‘SETUP’ tab, stay there.
- In the Name field, enter the company’s name.
- From the ‘Relationships’ dropdown, select Supplier.
- When you select ‘Supplier’ the Short Name and Website fields appear. The Short Name you enter displays throughout your ABM to identify this supplier. Enter the Supplier’s website here (if applicable) for you and your teammates to quickly access.
- Apply any necessary Tags to help you filter your reporting later. This is optional and you may not have Tags set up yet. You can skip this for now and come back to it.
- Enter a delivery address to specify where your business wants deliveries from this Supplier to be dropped off.
- Enter a payment address if a different mailing address should appear on Purchase Orders.
- Click Save. If saved successfully, you’ll see a confirmation appear in the lower right corner. You must always click Save after editing the Business Info section, before continuing to edit anything else on this page.
Supplier’s Contacts
Once this Supplier is saved, you can add their contacts. These are the contacts you can reach out to within that company.
- While still under the SETUP tab, click Add Contact.
- Enter the person’s name, title, phone number, and email address.
- Select whether this contact is for sales, billing, or delivery (you can select more than one option). This helps your team members see who they should contact for what need.
- Click Save.
- Add as many contacts as you need.
Purchase Orders
The Purchase Orders section appears when ‘Suppliers’ is selected from the ‘Relationships’ field. Use Purchase Orders to record what’s being purchased from this Supplier and help keep track of inventory.
- Read How To Create Purchase Orders for detailed information.
Notes
Click on the NOTES tab for this Supplier. Notes are used as an internal communication tool to keep yourself and your team members informed. These notes won’t be visible to the supplier. Add a note yourself or simply view the notes left by others.
